!!!! CONTENT WARNING: This game contains graphic violence, if that does not pertain to your interests this game might not be suitable for you.

!!!! PLEASE NOTE: There's a build uploaded now. "ODS_P4_Build_0_08_2.zip", This is literally just a build, not a release. But it will take a while until I can work on this game again, so I thought I would let people mess with what's there already, run around. shoot some stuff.

Controls are:
* WASD, space: move around
* Mousebuttons left + right: fire equipped weapons.
* T + mousebutton: drop the equipped weapon for respective hand
* Look at weapon on ground (little hand icon): Pick up weapon
* Shift: Block
* J: Restart game if you die or something.
* Alt+F4: Exit, sorry there's no menu or anything at the moment.

Check out the devlog for more information and in-depth posts about the things that have been done for the game so far. When it does "release" it's going to be like a demo with patches, if that makes sense. It obviously won't be a complete game until it's completely playable, but I will release some builds every so often.

!!!! PLEASE  ALSO NOTE: This is a Work-in-Progress/In-Development game and development is mostly slow. This game project was started in November and is still being worked on a few-hours-a-day-basis and nothing close to full-time. And regarding the name, it's the fourth project by this "studio" so it's simply called "P4" for now, I will change the title of this project as soon as we have a name.

Hello! First here's some more opening words -

This is our biggest creation so far. Conceptually the game is very simple. It takes inspiration from arcade games and their streamlined gameplay. It's about one thing and one thing only. Shoot stuff that moves until it doesn't move anymore.

On a deeper level, for us involved, this game project is about pushing our limits in all aspects what game development is. In this case this means to make better art, sounds, music, programming, tech and design than we've displayed yet.

OK. So about the game project itself:

As this game project is mostly a solo-venture, being worked on now and again during "off hours", there's a limit to how much this game is, content wise. The gameplay or "game mode" is a simple one. Shoot stuff. 

What the game is:

* An action game where you pilot a heavily armored individual through diverse terrain, using weapon caches and weapons dropped by enemies to survive. 

* AI combatants that are written to fight in ways you might not expect and that have clear goals in mind. Hopefully they will surprise you, which may lead to your demise.

* Guns that are visually and auditorially engaging, that feel weighty and girthy.

* A compelling environment to explore.


What the game is not:

It's not slated to be a full game of XX amount of hours , it's not going to be a well polished game, there will be bugs and anomalies and it will be handed out basically "as is".

The graphics will look a bit rushed on certain assets because I simply can't put all my effort into everything all at once. I will talk more about this in the devlog.

Install instructions

Just download, unzip. 

Controls are:

Also there's no settings/resolution dialog, I can't put it in right now so the screen resolution is locked at 1600x900 and no convenient windowing options.

Fun game.  Like the scenery.  Definitely a work in progress.  First thing to do is make the speed of the player increase when you run.  Like the scenery. Fun.
